The Edible Garden Project is dedicated to increasing access to fresh, organic vegetables within our communities. We provide hands-on education on growing, harvesting, and preparing nutritious meals. Our initiatives include donating produce to local food pantries, conducting food distributions at multiple locations, hosting a quarterly market stand, offering affordable produce through partner stores, and organizing complimentary farm-to-table dinners.

Through workshops, events, and demonstrations, we aim to inspire sustainable gardening practices and empower individuals to grow their own food, fostering both health and community connection. By combining food access with education, community collaboration, and hands-on empowerment, we aim to shift Lake County from food insecurity to food resilience.

  • Families grow their own food and prepare healthy meals,

  • Children understand the value of sustainable agriculture,

  • Neighbors share harvests and learn together,

  • And nutritious, organic food is a daily reality — not a luxury.

The Edible Garden Project is not just about feeding people today. It's about cultivating a future rooted in health, dignity, and community strength.
